THE SEEKERS TOWER MATHEMATICS AND SCIENE ACADEMY IS A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.
It is well known that the country has a problem in the teaching of Mathematics and Science in schools. This contribute to the poor performance in these subjects in
Matric, thus affecting the quality of knowledge for students entering Tertiary Education. This is made complex by the number of learners refusing to take Mathematics and Science as choice subjects due to fear of failure. This affects the economic growth of our country.
In the Vaal Triangle all the ex-model C schools offer Afrikaans or English as first additional language this create more challenges for learners as the language is no longer broadly spoken in the region and is not the home language of many learners.
It is for these reasons that The Seeker’s Tower Maths and Science Academy seek to intervene by offering Maths, Science and Technology from Grade R through to Grade 12 as indicated in our vision and mission. In addition to this we are the only school in the district offering two indigenous languages that are largely spoken in the region as subjects.
We would like to present ourselves on one hand as between the ex-model C schools and top end private schools in terms of tuition fees, thus allowing greater access to the needy. While on the other, we would challenge and surpass the top end private schools in terms of quality.
The Seekers Tower Maths and Science Academy is an Independent Christian School situated in Vereeniging. The school was started in 2014 to try and address the challenges of poor results in Maths and Science in the area. At its inception the school started with 2 grades; 20 grade R’s and 25 grades 1’s. Grade 1 class of 2014 is now in grade 4. Our objective is to present these learners as our first Matric in 2025 with all of them taking Mathematics and Science as a subject.

Our Curriculum
TST-MSA is following Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) as instituted by the national Department of Basic Education in South Africa. We enrich the CAPS curriculum standards by going far beyond the levels expected in the curriculum of the South African Department of Basic Education
Research has shown that extra curricula activities, such as those mentioned below, have a bearing in the improvement of learner performance. The improvement comes about because of understanding the rules, improving comprehension and instilling discipline.
