What is the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement? (CAPS)
The National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement is a single, comprehesive, and concise policy document, which has replaced the Subject and Learning Area Statements, Learning Programme Guidelines and Subject Assessment Guidelines for all the subjects listed in the National Curriculum Statement Grades R – 12. The National Curriculum Statement Grades R-12 represents a policy statement for learning and teaching in South African schools.
Our Curriculum
TST-MSA is following Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) as instituted by the national Department of Basic Education in South Africa. We enrich the CAPS curriculum standards by going far beyond the levels expected in the curriculum of the South African Department of Basic Education
Research has shown that extra curricula activities, such as those mentioned below, have a bearing in the improvement of learner performance. The improvement comes about because of understanding the rules, improving comprehension and instilling discipline.

We offer Traditional and Contemporary dancing because we believe that phyical activities are very important on the child’s overall well-being.
Chess
We offer Chess as a compulsory extra-curricula activity. Chess helps our learners by boosting their concentration levels, numeracy and reading comprehension. It also improves problem-solving skills and develop their thought processes.
Entrepreneurial Activities
As part of our entrepreneurial activities, our children create unique items that they sell.
Sports Programs
Soccer, Volley Ball, Fuse Ball, Table Tennis & Swimming
Year End Concert
At the end of each school year our learners showcase their unique talends at our concert.
